Repair first, with a clear explanation

I check the system before recommending a repair or replacement. That includes the parts and conditions that affect cooling: electrical components, airflow, coils, drains, and refrigerant performance. I’ll explain what I find, what it will take to fix it, and when a replacement deserves consideration.

Common cooling problems I diagnose

  • AC running but blowing warm air

  • Weak airflow or uneven cooling

  • Water around the indoor unit or a clogged drain

  • Outdoor unit not starting or shutting off unexpectedly

  • Unusual noises and repeated system cycling

Risher HVAC works on central air conditioners, heat pumps, package systems, and many major brands. The goal is a lasting solution that makes sense for your home and budget.

AC repair questions

Does an AC that blows warm air always need refrigerant?

No. Airflow restrictions, electrical faults, dirty coils, and other problems can affect cooling. Testing helps identify the cause before recommending refrigerant work or replacement parts.

Should I repair or replace my air conditioner?

That depends on the fault, repair cost, overall condition, repair history, and how well the system serves your home. I’ll explain the repair option and, when appropriate, help you compare it with HVAC system replacement. A breakdown alone does not automatically mean you need a new unit.

What should I tell you when booking service?

Tell me what the system is doing, when the problem started, and whether you have noticed water, unusual sounds, or ice. Let me know how many systems you have and which one is affected. These details help me prepare for your visit.
